My Story

Christina Hornung, Architectural/Residential Designer

I have been designing homes for over 23 years with almost 2100 projects complete.  I graduated from Northcentral Technical College with a degree in Architectural/Residential Design.  From there, I graduated from UW Green Bay with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science.  I began my career working for a Fox Valley builder designing homes.  During this time I partnered with framers, foundation crews, electricians, plumbers, HVAC crews, truss manufacturers and kitchen design specialists to develop a design process that incorporates each building component into a whole house systems design approach.  From this approach I have mastered technical and practical knowledge of how a home comes together.  This knowledge gives me a unique ability to design with a whole house systems approach, ensuring your project runs smoothly.

I then furthered my career working for a local building materials supply company.  In this position I designed homes, additions, remodeled projects and customized utility buildings. The years spent in this position allowed me to continue building relationships with building inspectors, builders and skilled trades people.

In addition, I also keep current with my Dwelling Contractor Qualifier License.  This is the same license builders need to maintain.  This education allows me to stay up to date with new and changing building codes, new building materials and their uses, new industry trends and best design practices.  I also stay up-to-date on technical, structural and practical knowledge of the building process.

I am now an independent designer who works with homeowners and builders designing new homes, additions and remodeling projects.  My unique background of hands on knowledge, technical knowledge and a systems approach to design make me uniquely qualified to visualize your new home during the design process.

I design homes all over the state of Wisconsin.
